ART CLEANS OUR STREAMS:
Iron Oxide for the Arts Collaborative 2011
On display for bids now in Michael B Shoes!
The Evergreen Conservancy and the Indiana Arts Council teamed up with artists to use recovered iron oxide in their art! ( Click here to find out why this is important.) This project is intended to raise awareness about the environment and raise funds for these two organizations. Evergreen Conservancy supplied artists with the natural pigment from the Tanoma Abandoned Mine treatment system. Artists were encouraged to donate a piece of artwork to Evergreen created with the iron. The artist’s involvement goes further than simple support – they are helping keep streams clean! Find out how…
Thank you to our artists for their time and creative energy!
